Abstracts & Submission

The ICCM Foundation is moving forward with the organization of the next conference, scheduled to take place in Plovdiv from October 24-29, 2022.
In recent months, the Scientific Committee has received numerous requests to reopen the deadline for submissions. Although the program had been finalised, due to the second postponement of  the conference, the ICCM Board has decided to give ICCM members the opportunity to update their presentations or add new ones, in the belief that this will update and enrich the scientific content of the program. The new deadline for submitting contributions is December 31, 2021.
To apply for an oral presentation, poster and video contributions, authors are invited to provide an abstract of no more than 200 words. The abstract should address clearly one of the thematic or general sessions of the conference:

Thematic sessions:

  • Conservation and management of mosaics in situ
  • Mosaics in a new context: museum and storage collections
  • Shelters on archaeological sites
  • Mosaics in urban environments
  • Mosaics in conflict zones
  • Modern and communist era mosaics

  • Methods of survey and documentation
  • Conservation and management of mosaics
  • Presentation and display
  • Education and training
  • Best practice case-studies

Proper submissions include full name, affiliation, and contact details (postal, email addresses, phone numbers). If there is more than one author, please indicate the corresponding author(s).

The new deadline for the submission of abstracts (papers, posters, videos) is December 31th, 2021. Authors will be contacted by April 2022 about acceptance of their contributions. In some cases applicants for oral presentations might be invited to present within the poster session.

Guidelines will be sent in due course to the authors whose papers, posters and videos have been accepted for presentation.
